Our Story · Made in Cali, Colombia
Shaped by one woman who refused to settle.
Since 2001, Ann Michell has carried Colombian craftsmanship to the world. Our founder, Jackelyn G. Aguero, built it from one bold decision into an international name, and a brand that helps women feel powerful in their own skin.
My Story
Jackelyn G. AgueroFounder & CEO, Annmichell
In 2001, I decided to embark on my own entrepreneurial journey with a clear vision: to build a Colombian brand capable of competing in the world's most demanding markets while offering high-quality products that help women feel more confident, empowered, and beautiful.
That same year, I made my first business trip to the United States. I remember it vividly because it coincided with the events of September 11, 2001. While the world was facing uncertainty, I chose to move forward, visit clients, and introduce our products. That experience taught me that great dreams are built through courage, especially during the most challenging times.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to building Annmichell. What began as a dream with great aspirations has grown into an internationally recognized brand, bringing Colombian innovation, craftsmanship, and quality to markets across the Americas, Europe, and beyond.
But beyond business growth, I always had a different vision. I never wanted to build a company solely to sell products or generate income for myself. From the very beginning, I believed that true success comes from creating opportunities for others.
That is why we developed distribution, wholesale, and catalog sales programs that allowed thousands of entrepreneurs to build businesses around our products. Many families found a source of income, achieved financial growth, and reached their goals through the opportunities created by working with our brand.
Seeing distributors, wholesalers, and entrepreneurs succeed alongside us, especially since our expansion into the United States, has been one of the greatest rewards of my career. I firmly believe that success should not be measured only by what a company achieves, but by the number of lives it positively impacts along the way.
Today, as I approach my 50th birthday, I look back with gratitude for every challenge overcome, every customer who trusted us, and every person who has been part of this journey. At the same time, I look forward with the same passion that inspired me from the very beginning, convinced that the best is yet to come.
My purpose remains the same: to inspire others to believe in their dreams, create opportunities, and demonstrate that with hard work, perseverance, and faith, there are no limits to what can be achieved.
Welcome to my story.
Welcome to Annmichell.
“My greatest pride is not simply building an international brand; it is helping thousands of people build their own businesses and achieve their dreams alongside us.”
